I was very surprised (after being gone from this site for several weeks) to see nobody had posted a thread for this show. I am taking a well deserved vacation which includes going to this show! Anybody else?

I'm going! It should be so awesome. I'm really excited! Hope to see some of you there. :]
And when I touch your hand
It's then I understand
The beauty that's within
It's now that we begin
You always light my way
I hope there never comes a day
No matter where I go
I always feel you so

I'm still on vacation here in SC, but thought i'd come here quick and give you guys my thoughts on this show. Let me just say that no matter how many times I go to one of Michelle's shows I always walk away extremely impressed. The acoustics were great at HOB last night so I was able to hear the lyrics to the new songs very clearly. I know a lot of you haven't heard the new stuff yet, but trust me it will be worth the wait. She played a new song (it's even one I haven't heard up until yesterday) called Summertime. That song is absolutely amazing. I hope that one will be on the new album. Michelle always has a way of being so relateable through her songs (as well as by the way she carries herself) and this song certainly is up there with some of her best ones in my opinion. I was in the front row again for this show so that was pretty awesome as well. Some guy on the other side of the crowd gave her a beer which I thought was really cool too :-D The setlist was pretty much the same from the NORVA show I went to a few months back (with the addition of Summertime). The first song she played (i believe it's called Take A Chance On Me from what some other people have said) and that is also a kick a** song!. She played Game Of Love again which was a nice treat. Her cover song for the night was You Wreck Me which sounded amazing. I was going to try to get the setlist afterwards, but there was some other guy to my right who asked for it and the guy on stage was less than willing to hand it over...which I thought was a bummer. I would sit here and try to post the setlist off the top of my head, but a)i'm using a public computer at a hotel, b)people are waiting to use it, and c) i'm still pretty exhausted from walking on the beach all day :-D Oh, and I don't know all the new song titles either. It was a great show. That is all I know.

If Michelle is reading this (and i'm pretty sure she will) I just want to say thanks again for another amazing show. You have some serious talent. You get better and better everytime I see you. Your new stuff is incredible too! Keep on doing what you are doing because you are awesome.

I was terribly nervous being that close to Michelle... I calmed down around the 3rd song or so and was able to enjoy the rest of the show though. Anyway, it was a great concert and I really enjoyed myself! Both Michelle and Nicole sang beautifully and the band played great! I particularly thought the darker arrangement of GOL was brilliant. Of course, as expected, the new songs sound great: vintage Michelle Branch hooks, choruses, melodies and harmonies! I hope "Everything Comes and Goes" comes out soon! happy.gif

What row were you in? I was in the front row again for this show (to her right) and i'm starting to feel more confident that she recognizes me. She made eye contact with me several times throughout the show which was awesome. I know what you mean though as far as being THAT close. Michelle is like my absolute favorite artist. No need to be nervous though. Michelle is probably the most grounded famous person in the history of famous people smile.gif I do understand though. I'm still in awe of her after all these years laugh.gif I have had the pleasure of seeing her perform pretty many times now and it NEVER gets old. She is extremely talented.

I also want to add that I LOVE the way she plays the band version of All You Wanted now. It sounds like the electric guitar and bass sound very tight on that song nowadays. That is the difference i'm hearing. I'm so glad she is playing Game Of Love again too. I also forgot to mention the "Waynes World" moment when she stopped as she got into playing This Way and did the "do do do" and started it over laugh.gif That was hilarious. Gotta love her sense of humor cool.gif

I loved the Wayne's World thing.

Nimrod, I know what you mean. She kept looking towards me (at mine, I was in the front to the far right) and she kept smiling at me. I swear, I was like Stan on South Park when Wendy smiles at him, thankfully, I didn't puke but I was damn close to.

Haha, I had pretty much the same experience at this show and the NORVA since I was in the front row for both (minus the South Park moment of course laugh.gif ). However, not only did she make eye contact with me, but I am starting to realize that Michelle really does recognize me. I have gotten that feeling a lot over the years (i've been to 14 or 15 of her shows now), but was never completely sure because I am so quiet and I only met her very briefly five years ago. I think that says a lot when you can be as quiet as me and still get recognized every time you show up. smile.gif

^You were in the front row!?! So was I! I was on the left side...that'd be so cool if we were next to each other and we didn't know it. tongue.gif

Anyway, the concert was AMAZING! And I met her after the show! She was one of the sweetest people I've ever met. I had such a wonderful time. :]

^^Wow, I was on the left side too laugh.gif How did you meet her? Did she come out to the bar area after the show? It sounds like she did that in Orlando so if she did that at Myrtle Beach, then I am a real dope for not sticking around wacko.gif

Cool. Haha. smile.gif I probably saw you and had no idea. I'm a 14 year old girl who is pretty short...about 5'0 and I have really long brown, wavy hair. It was in a ponytail and I was next to these two little girls. (I didn't know them, though. We just met at the show and I started dancing with them...it was cute. happy.gif). I had a light blue shirt...kind of like a turquoise color. Anyway, I was just curious if you saw me. If not, that's alright...I was just wondering how close we were to each other.

Yeah, after the show she went to back of the place. Her bus was parked back there. We all knew she was going to come out eventually so we stuck around for a while. Her whole band came out before her, including her sister. Her sister just kinda hung out around the bus while her male band members sang the Backstreet Boys for us. tongue.gif It was soooo funny! That guy who plays the guitar is hilarious. laugh.gif

So she finally came out and was one of the sweetest people ever. My name is Raven, so she asked me if I got annoyed by people bringing up the show "That's So Raven" all the time. I was like, "Yeah, but that's alright!" and she smiled. smile.gif Then she said she gets annoyed by people bringing up the Beatles song "Michelle" all the time. I was so mad I didn't bring my camera, but she did sign my ticket and...I got a hug! biggrin.gif Yay!

I wish I had known who you were because I totally would have told you she was meeting people. I'm sorry!

^^Oh, I knew she would probably meet people if they waited outside. She seems to do that at most of the shows she plays. I just meant if she came out to the bar like she did at the HOB in Orlando. It doesn't sound like she did though. It's cool that you got to meet her. Congrats to ya smile.gif I do remember the group of people who were dancing around to my left which was the group you were probably hanging around with. I was way too focused on the concert to remember too many faces from it...besides for Michelle and the band of course.

Thanks. :] And as far as I know, I don't think she went out to the bar. And yeah, that might have been us, but I understand you wanting to watch Michelle and the band more. Lol. To be honest, so did I...but I couldn't just ignore the little girls wanting me to dance with them...I would have felt too bad. Hey, it got us noticed, so what the heck! tongue.gif
