They have either recast or added characters to the series cos Joss Whedon just confirmed Amy Ackerman (Fred from Angel) has joined the cast fulltime!

My favorite movies are equally broad. As for comics, I really cant get enough of Superman or Spider-Man. Books? Well, I really love The Dresden Files. Its my favorite series at the moment.

A premiere during February sweeps makes it more of an event. I think this is Fox putting confidence into the show.

Working for Fox for so many years now, it's sad to see how many great (and not so great) shows have come and gone....unfortunately, Dollhouse which is going immediately to the death slot, won't be given much chance....and as an avid Buffy, Angel , ANYTHING with Eliza Dushku fan, it's almost tragic before it starts. Dollhouse looks like it's going to seriously kick a**, but for how long. Ugh. Damn you Fox.

I agree with Meechman, it's been given the death slot of Friday night and it's airing out of the Sarah Conner Chronicles which has been hemorrhaging viewers all season.
It'll be lucky to break 5 million, which is sad because it's Joss and Eliza. Here's hoping though...

I have just seen the pilot! I am kind of disappointed in the sense that I was waiting for so so much...
But don't worry, it is not bad (at all!) and that is so pleasant to see Eliza back on screen!! laugh.gif

Ooooh I will...XD

lol two reasons I'm not happy about Firefly. ONE...FOX killed it, just 11 episodes in; and TWO, FOX killed Dark Angel in favour of it. Both are unforgivable.

In an article I read Joss himself said he wasn't happy with the Pilot. The network made him go back and reshoot it cos they thought it would be too hard for some people to keep up with his pace of work (they were worried if they didn't understand it or connect to characters they won't tune in again). He said he is happier with the series from about Ep4

Ehh, it's ok. I watched the pilot last night, and I wasn't bored with it. However, it felt "off" to me. I'll keep watching to see if that feeling goes away. Not a bad start, though. Hopefully Fox won't kill it, especially since it's on a Friday night.

It was pretty good for a pilot episode, and the set looks ridiculously expensive, but it didn't really leave me thinking "man, i can't wait for the next episode"

Eliza and Amy were both amazing as usual though, it's nice to see them both back on TV.

I really liked Dollhouse, maybe because I love Buffy/Angel and anything Joss. Although as I'm not from America I don't get the whole Friday death slot and Fox..but it sounds like it might not last very long. I hope it does though, it can go on to be such a great show!

I heard Joss was smart this time and part of the deal he negotiated included any unaired eps will be included on a DVD release. He apparently had real issues getting the unaired eps of firefly onto the dvds, so this time made sure the fans will see all the completed eps.

Good news... at least we will see more than one or two episodes! laugh.gif
But I really want it to last more than 20! wink.gif

exactly what i was thinking. it did feel kinda "off"...idk why, but i just didn't enjoy it as much as i thought i would. i mean i thought eliza was awesome, i just felt like something was missing. idk, hopefully as the season goes on, that'll change. but who knows, with it being in the death slot and all. plus fox kinda sucks when it comes to cancelling shows...they seem to cancel all the good ones so idk.
"Well it's all so overrated, in not saying how you feel, so you end up watching chances fade, and wondering what's real"
