but the actor who plays Ben is amazing.

also. michael is dead

that's kinda lame. at least charlie..we cared about him again. michael was an afterthought.

I agree with Harold Perrineau that the relation between Michael and Walt could have been done so much better. Michael's falling out with Walt and his heroic redemption could have been one of the stronger storylines. But I think somewhere in the middle of season two the producers panicked and realized they were going to get caught in the "puberty trap" with the kid playing Walt suddenly growing several years worth in what was supposed to be several months time. They had to essentially jettison a key character (I really think Walt was supposed to be central) for continuity's sake. Bummer.

I also agree it was one of the weaker finales. I may be in the minority in believing it's because of the fewer flashes. The flashes usually build suspense during the hour because you know there's going to be an interesting payoff to all the little snippets in the final flash. The flashes in season finale 4 were too discombobulated, few and far between with little continuity. So in the end it was kind of like, okay yeah so what? And then boom you see Jeremy Benthem's dead body...you're like whah hit me?

Bah, that's weak. I really liked the Michael character. It felt kind of pointless just to bring him back just to die. I guess he had his redemption, but it sure felt empty. Hell, he didn't even have any scenes with Walt.

Also, yes the finale sucked balls. They pretty much revealed everything in flashforwards and previous eps - who gets rescued, Jin dying (well maybe...), rest of the castaways stuck behind, island moving, etc.

My favorite movies are equally broad. As for comics, I really cant get enough of Superman or Spider-Man. Books? Well, I really love The Dresden Files. Its my favorite series at the moment.

I love Ben. He's so wonderfully complex.

I'm still digesting the happenings of "There's No Place Like Home" this just completed season's finale. Anyone have any new ideas about what the heck is going on?

My head is still spinning but slowly and surely I'm pulling together little bits, hints and most assuredly much a do's about red herrings. Here's a little so far...

-Three years seems to be a theme. Desmond had been stuck on the island for 3 years and 3 years will elapse again before Jack visits with Jeremy Benthem's corpse and believes "We have to go baaaack!"

-The polar bears gained access to the island when it it was in an earlier colder location.

-The same electromagnetic cloud shrouds the island when it moves as when Desmond released the fail-safe in the hatch.

-Remember the guy who taught Desmond to enter the numbers and push the button said they were doing it to "save the world." When Desmond tripped the fail-safe what exactly did he prevent and what is the consequence of the hatch's destruction in light of the islands electromagnetic energy being able to move things through space-time? Remember the numbers were ingraved on the outside of the hatch.

-Is the island capable of moving backwards in time in relation to the outside world?

-Did Widmore try to keep Desmond away from Penny in order to protect her from Ben and the others?

-Does Mrs Hawking work for Widmore or the others?

-Since the whispers are a signal that danger is close, could they be communications from the future?

-Are the numbers also meant to be warnings? Why do they correspond to the street numbers of parks in Manhattan and add up to 108, the north eastern border of Central Park?

-Penny said she tracked down the island's location through Desmond's phone call. So what then did the portugese scientest tell Penny they found at the end of season 2? Did that have any part to play in her finding the island this time around or was that a flash to another entirely different time frame?

-Why did Charlotte leave the island before? Was she actually born there? Is she actually Annie?

-How important willl Clementine be to the plot now that Sawyer has asked Kate to find her? (his whispered request just before he jumped out of the copter)
we have to go back
