Lost is awesome this season!
My opinion on the "6" is that yes those six get off (can't wait to know who the final two are!)....but i bet more people get off the island, but weren't on the plane( AKA the original "others", like ben made it off, but wasn't on the flight).
And did anyone see last nights episode? Freakin sweet! Gets better every week! Plus the ending...That somehow Kate's baby is Erin!! I mean, what happen to Claire! . The season just gets better and better!

the ending made me XD so bad. cuz i was thinking two things, why is the baby so big. and who's the dad. and when she said the baby's name, i was like "o s*** Claire got robbed."
and you guys dont need spoiler tags for stuff that has aired. just only future spoilers.

I'm going to guess Claire is going to die somehow by Jack's actions. I'm saying this since her character's mostly useless now that Charlie kicked the bucket and Jack refuses to see the kid in the future.

The flash-fowards are really working better and beyond all my expectations. They pack exponentially more surprise punches than did the flash-backs. Season 4 has not disapointed so far.
I suppose Locke going all 'Heart-of-Darkness' insane is consistant with the show's theme of turning all expectations on their head. If they succeed in transforming he who started off as the show's most poignantly sympathetic character into the evilest of all lunatics then hats off to them for the dramatic genius...but its still sad to see.

Maybe that's who jack was so upset about at the end of last season when he went to the funeral!
Crap, i can't get enough of this season!!

Well you might say, 'Hehe that's easy epsilonwolf. We got it in the finale of season 3 when Jack and Kate did, among other things, a perfect reenactment of your ex repeatedly hanging up on you..."
Then, after shedding a quick tear, I'll say, "Perhaps..but it's not a slamdunk smart guy or gal!"
EXHIBIT A
In final scene of Season 2 finale 'Live Together, Die Alone' two scientists working for Penny Widmore (Desmond's girlfriend) in an artic location detect a magnetic event leading them to believe they've found the location of the island. One of them, identified in casting credits as a character named 'Mathias' excitedly calls Penny to tell her the news with a rather suspect Portugese accent. He is pictured below :

Casting credits identify the actor playing Mathias as one Len Cordova. He is pictured below as our exhibit B :
EXHIBIT B
Some crazy obsessed Lostie fans dispute the crafty actor bait and switch however. They think Mathias is actually played by Matthew Fox...which means Mathias is actually Jack! (Exhibit C pictured below) Crazy as these Lostie fans are, they've compiled some impressive evidence to suit their case. Notice Mathias's chin width and nose shape seems to match M Fox's more than Cordova. Also Fox's individual facial hair pattern is almost identical with Mathias. Lost writers almost always hide meaning in character names so could further hints to Mathias's true nature lay there? According to Wikipedia; Mathias' name in Portuguese is Matias.
The Gospel of Matthias is a lost text from the New Testament Apocrypha, ascribed to Matthias, the apostle chosen by lots to replace Judas Iscariot. Hmmm, In Greek the word "apocryphal" (ἀπόκρυφος) was first applied, in a positive sense, to writings which were kept secret because they were the vehicles of esoteric knowledge considered too profound or too sacred to be disclosed to anyone other than the initiated.
EXHIBIT C

So what do you think? Is it possible the first flash-foward occured at the end of season two where a future off-island Jack is helping Penny relocate the island in an attempt to, "Go Baaaack!!!"?

Why did you think Jack was annoying? I love Jack.
And no, I think that was a warning in the event it happens in the future. Desmond is in his present and past, so he'd be the constant.

Not entirely thrilled either with last episode either. Because I'm extremely weary of time-travelling scenarios. I can enjoy a cute time travel adventure like 'Back to the Future' as much as the next guy....especially if it's the main crux of the story. But when there's so much more at stake as in the overall Lost mythology, then I want something I can at least halfway believe in. Unfortunately I spent two years in college researching why time-travel doesn't exist...so cheezy time-travelling motiffs kind of ruin it for me.
Loved the whole Desmond and Penny thing though. A real nod to Kurt Vonnegut.

And don't ruin Star Trek for me. TIME TRAVEL WILL HAPPEN!
Kidding. But I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed the nod to Vonnegut.
