Last night was amazing. I didn't see any other threads on the show, so I figured I'd make one for fun. Michelle played for about 45 minutes acoustically with John Leventhal on guitar and Teddy on bass. It was amaaaaaazzzzing. Of course, I didn't like...write down the songs she played cause I figured I'd remember. Yeah...so that went well. Here's the setlist (probably not in order haha) from the show:
Pretty Little Lyin' Eyes
Everywhere
Crazy Ride
Breathe
Sooner or Later
Everything Comes and Goes (I think, I know I was missing one, so maybe this is it haha)
All You Wanted
Show Me a Sign (she said she never played this one live before - IT WAS AMAZING)
Are You Happy Now?
Through the Radio
And the encore, I believe, was a Rolling Stones cover, Play with Fire or something like that. I loved it.
I feel like I'm missing a song...I'm sorry!
It was sold out, definitely packed to the max. I got there like 3 or 4 hours early, but all the close seats were reserved for people so I got the best seat I could. I saw Michelle before the show, but didn't bother her. Teddy saw me and waved. I saw Michelle come out after the show and into the roped off area with people. I kinda snuck into the roped off area with another guy...I probably wasn't supposed to be there, but I really wanted to say hi to Michelle. So I did. She hugged me and told me she was glad I could make it (hell, I was happy to make it! It wasn't easy haha) I told her that I drove allll the way home from college and then drove into NYC, and she said I get a gold star! Haha (funny thing is, today I bought myself a Costco membership for my 21st birthday on October 7th, and it's a Gold Star Membership! Hahahhaa...I thought that was funny....moving on....) I told her how much I love the new songs and that I needed the album NOW. I was joking around (but seriously, who doesn't?!) and she laughed and told me to talk to her manager then introduced me to her. It was a good time, then I needed to head home so we took a quick picture together, and said bye and such.
It was a ton of fun. The news songs are fabulous, and I cannot wait for the new album! So, thanks, Michelle, for another amazing time! Sometimes it's hard to believe that the first time I saw Michelle live was 7 or 8 years ago when I was 12 or 13. Now I'm gonna be 21 next week, and it's just insane to think about...her music has been such a big part of my life and you never know how to thank someone for that!
Anywho, I'm back in my tiny dorm room and need to study haha. Here's the link to some pictures if anyone is interested - I didn't use a flash (didn't want to blind her or anyone..) but some came out alright:
