I'm a big fan of Michelle's songwriting/vocals & musical talent. I love the new single release (Sooner or Later) from her upcoming new album, but must admit I prefer the live acoustic version she sings on Youtube over the studio country version I've recently heard. Not that there is anything wrong with that, it just appeals to a certain audience.
I believe Michelle has a much greater audience above just "Country", & hope that her producers realise that & don't just pigeon-hole her to a country audience with the way they adapt & mix her music.
If her current producers can't lift her status, then perhaps approaching "Mutt" Lang to produce her next few albums will see Michelle soar to the heights her talents truly deserve.
P.S. For those that didn't know, Mutt Lang was the record producer for Shania Twain & just happens to be her husband. We all know how his abilities help propell her traditional country music theme to be the most dominant female pop artist across the globe for about 3-4 years there!
Go Michelle!

I really don't get how people think her new music is that much different than her "pop" stuff. It sounds mostly the same. Adding a fiddle or banjo doesn't make it country.

Yeah I mean she's not yodeling or singing about sleeping with her truck.
She did twitter awhile back about having a horse. I forget the name she gave it. I do think they should travel around and do just any hole in the wall places or just sidewalks for just tips till the cd is out and given a full band.

Mutt Lange would naver produce Michelle. They are both already married!
