Haha! Omg, I am watching the same thing! I thought she was saying that he LOOKS like Jack Black. I was like, WHAT?? hahah no way!! David Cook is hot 'n' sexy, and Jack Black is...well...not. LOL. Not to me anyway (my apologies to any that find Jack Black attractive). Davey does make quite a few interesting faces, that's for sure. My favorite one has to be his high/loud/long note squint face while he's belting it out. lol.
20 minutes now...I'm getting so nervous! hahah! And I can't wait to hear him.

I haven't watched a single episode all year, but had the night off and decided to watch. I think it's safe to say that Cook's got this competition won. He's got the looks, the voice and the stage presence. His U2 cover gave me chills, and his 2nd performance was so good. The third was really good, but I don't know if it was really the right choice as his closing song.

I thought he did so well tonight. But then again I always think he does well. lol. I have always loved the song The World I Know, so I was thrilled that he chose to do that one. I thought it was SO amazing. I did think maybe he would have arranged it differently, but I wasn't surprised that he didn't do what everyone expected. He wouldn't be who he was if he was predictable. I love that.
I'm still a bit concerned because of how well Arch did. He was really good tonight. To me, he can never compare to DC, but to anyone who disagrees with that, hopefully they looked at the big picture when thinking about who to vote for.
I felt absolutely horrible when they were telling Arch that, basically, he had already won, and that he was the best. DC had to stand backstage after doing those (amazing) performances and hear them say that. I can't even imagine what he was feeling.

without actually saying who won, i think based on only seeing this final ep., that this guy may actually have the chance to be the first real sucessful winner in a few seasons
AND YOURE STILL SO VAGUE! because they both are getting record deals you know.

here's a clue: his name is david
never been able to say a gender and name and still not give it away, lol
yea, the only real difference probably is that one gets the title and one doesn't since they'll both probably release albums anyways

timing is everything, everything happens for a reason
such beautiful distractions
patience is key, good things come to those who wait

idk, i think david cook has a good voice, but if they make him sing pop songs and sing music that isn't who he is, he's just gonna fade away...and this is referring to the song he sang after he won...
but this season's finale wasn't too much of a surprise for me...i kinda was leaning towards cook winning cuz i figured archie had fans who were mostly women and young girls, but cook had everyone, including the guys and girls...although i was kinda surprised he won by 12 million votes though

I thought he would win, too. I'm not sure why, I just did. I've heard a lot of people on TV say they were surprised, but I certainly wasn't lol. He has SO much talent, and I think it is so great and awesome that everyone realized that. I was a little surprised by the margin of votes he won by...I thought it would be a bit closer.
I agree with you on the music. I will be extremely disappointed if they don't let him do the music he wants to do. It will be a huge letdown, because I am already looking forward to his album. I do admit that I like the song that he sang, lol. With that voice, he can do pretty much anything (except rap...) and sound amazing. I just don't want him to have to be like everyone else. That's just not him, and I don't think he would enjoy that at all either.
