my friend got me hooked on it back in 2005. i was watching that current season and of course had to then start watching all the previous ones in syndication. the fast, witty banter is awesome. i wish i could do it daily but alas i can only manage it occasionaly.

I know 4 people just like that! Too bad they didn't start watching when the season was still going on..maybe then it wouldn't have gotten cancelled.
It sucks that classic and family oriented shows are dropping like flies to the sexual and graphic junk that's out today.

I loved that show. I wish there was a real person like Lorelie. I'd woo her like there was no tommorrow.

I used to watch this show every week, then they started moving it around to different timeslots and days here in Australia. Then they stopped showing it all together a little way into the 3rd series.
Then when they bought it back a couple of years later I never got back into watching it and only saw some random episodes here and there.
I have all seasons on dvd and started to watch the whole show from the beginning, but I haven't got further than halfway through season 2.
One day I'll finally make my way completely through the whole series.

They've shown it regularly (well if you don't count special sporting events which bumps it) for the last 2.5 yrs at 3:30 or 4:30 Sundays on channel 9

Yeah but I only watch it like once every 6-8 weeks because I always forget it's on. I used to watch it regularly back in 2003-2004 when it was on every Saturday night at 7:30pm.
It's on Foxtel too, but I only watch it every now and then on there. I usually have no idea what's going on with the overall story arc for whatever season they're showing because I didn't really follow it too much after channel 9 stopped showing it on Saturdays, but I still enjoy watching a random episode here and there. It's a great show because you can enjoy an episode on it's own without having to know the story of what's going on for that whole season.

I watched it yesterday.
Rory is dating some guy I don't really know and she rang up and yelled at his dad for not visiting him in hospital and apparently now Luke has a teenage daughter, so now I have no idea what's going on but I enjoyed it all the same.

was that on foxtel, or channel 9? Cos i watched it too and Logan wasnt in hospital!!! or did i miss something? She visited Jess, in the eps I saw.

I think it was channel 9.
Maybe Adelaide and Melbourne are showing different episodes, years ago when it was on Saturday night I think Adelaide was about 2 weeks behind the other states.
You are in Melbourne right?
aussie36
Mar 31 2008, 04:56 AM
yes melb. hmm that is so weird we get different eps lol. For a second there I thought i was going crazy!

Mar 31 2008, 04:57 AM
Adelaide might not even be in sequence, when I used to watch it regularly I noticed that they sometimes mixed episodes up and didn't show them in order.
Not all the time, but it did happen every now and then.

Ch 9 does that all the time. The amount of CSI's & Without a Trace not in order. argh! Seven was worse with Firefly and things that are on late at night. The worse bit is when you ring to complain cos the storyline makes no sense, they comment they didn't think anyone would notice!

That's gotta be Logan where he hurt himself from a thing for the Life and Death Brigade..so rory asked for paris to explain to her the diagnosis/current condition of logan..and then Luke found out she got a daughter,April..the mother is his ex-gf Anna Nardini..then things got even more complicated between luke and lorelai

rory is boring though
lorelai made the show what it was.
i heard NBC is making a show just for Lauren Graham. (probably put on halt cause the strike though)

this show was pure gold until lorelai and rory got in that huge fight. well, really after she started dating logan, or whichever came first - it ruined it. i can still watch each episode from the first, like, 4 or 5 seasons? but after that i don't really care. i don't even know how the show ended.

all good shows have to come to an end. it just sucked cause it's such a classically good show. the storyline was getting pretty weak though. and some shows it's best to get rid of them before they BLOW.

It was really random how I got into the show. My best friend had been telling me for years how much she loved the show, but I shrugged it off because I had seen a couple random episodes and didn't find it that amazing. THEN, last summer, I discovered the first two seasons while I was house sitting. I was hooked. I ended up watching 6 seasons over the summer, then the last season when it came out on DVD.
Love the show. Love Lauren Graham.
